“Fresh healthy food in lively setting”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 15, 2013 via mobile

Not being terribly hungry, I ordered the cup of soup (beef noodle) and small salad. Wow! My husband had skewered teriyaki chicken on a bed of yakitori noodles. I loved the food, and if I lived in Joseph, I'd eat here all the time.

“Imaginative, hearty food but service and kids menu problems”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2013

Four adults and two children . . . all the adults got the salmon special and it was excellent - interesting sauce, broccoli side dish perfectly cooked and yummy. Service was a little bit unattentive, and the kids menu was sadly "dumbed down" (do you really think "nilla wafers" is a side dish?!), but the adult food was very good. A large party was erupting into shrieks repeatedly and while it was nice they were having fun, they deafened us numerous times. I expect staff to take some initiative to protect other guests from that sort of thing, but no effort was made by restaurant staff.

“We will be back”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 23, 2013

While visiting Joseph, OR it was suggested that we try Mutiny Brewery in town instead of driving to the next town to try a different brewery. We were very happy with the suggestion. We tried the four beers on tap (Pale, Super Pale, Porter and Wheat) and were happy with all four; although we both had our favorites. The menu had more options than we were expecting, more that just burgers and fries. We ordered hummus, a steak sandwich, and the chicken skewers. Prices were very reasonable. We will be back the next time we are in Joseph (or close by).

“The Best”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 28, 2012

Okay, we only ate at the Embers besides here. Once we ate here we came back three more times. There was plenty of great food to mine on the menu. The mexican soup/chili was terrific. The veggie burger, made in house, was the best. Salads were interesting and delicious. We mostly ate outside in the garden but once it was raining so we ate in the wood paneled/carved booths inside. Definitely quieter than the Embers. The service and beer were just right. Hope they brew a few more kinds of beer in the future.

“Couldn't get waited on, so we left”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed September 22, 2012

We were there in September 2012. Even though our party was only one of about 4 tables in the whole place, we waited at least 10 minutes for the server to come get drink orders. They have a very limited menu (maybe 10 or fewer items), and they were out of 1/2 of the items! Then we waited over 20 minutes and never got our drinks because the waitress was talking to friends at the bar. When she did come back, she announced they only had 2 glasses of wine left, not 3 as we'd ordered. We just gave up and left.
