We hadn't been to this restaurant in decades, and only ended up here because most everything else seemed to be closed for lunch on Monday, but we were pleasantly surprised. Located in a historic building in Jacksonville that was rebuilt either in 1970 or 1979, depending on what you read, the ambience is 19th century. The outdoor courtyard looked very inviting and was packed, but the temperature was already in the high 90s, so we opted for the air-conditioned inside. Service was very friendly and helpful, and relatively quick, given the lunch rush. I opted for the chicken breast sandwich, with the chicken marinated in walnut and gorgonzola cheese pesto and topped with salty prosciutto and fontina cheese. I asked the waitress for dijon mustard, then didn't use it because I didn't want to mask the exquisite flavors. What a great sandwich! I washed it down with their good strawberry lemonade and the refill arrived without me even asking for it. My wife also enjoyed her stuffed baked potato and side salad. The prices seemed completely in line with what we got. We couldn't think of a single thing we didn't like about this restaurant, hence the excellent rating. Maybe we just hit them on a good day, but we were impressed.
