“I came for the Meatloaf........”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 2, 2013

We lucked into finding this oasis in IdleYld.....ALL meals=excellent. Everything is homemade from scratch. DELICIOUS !!!
We will be going back for the elusive meatloaf one day !
Fried bologna never tasted so good. Thick slice of real butchershop bologna,grilled with made to order salt & pepper potatoe chips.
French dip from precisely roasted beef, not just the discarded ends.
Congenial,amusing and talented host Ron also guided us on some sights not to be missed in the area.
Definitely a destination spot with an opportunity to take away a box lunch !!!
XOXOXO=THANK YOU=XOXOXO

“Something for everyone”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 29, 2013

Idleyld Lodge is one of only a few restaurants providing breakfast, lunch and dinner to the public along the North Umpqua River Valley (Route 138) and the only one located in Idleyld Park. They also do take-out and catering.

The lodge – which is also a B&B -- was taken over by new owners last year, and parts of the building are still a work in progress. But the food and service are excellent. Ron, who’s one of the partners, waited on my husband and me during our recent visit and encouraged us to try their barbeque pulled pork sandwich. It truly was one of the best we’ve ever had.

The extensive dinner menu runs the gamut from salads and grilled cheese, burgers and fried bologna to clams, mussels and shrimp. Something for everyone. And we found the prices to be very reasonable. The pulled pork was $9 and included a choice of homemade salt & pepper chips, steak fries, tater tots, side salad or baked beans These are obviously very hard working people who are anxious to please.
