“We would be regulars”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 7, 2011

We had dinner here while traveling through Hood River. If we have the opportunity to come back - we would. The atmosphere was very comfortable, the staff was friendly and the food was great. We loved the homemade bread, and our sandwiches were great. We had the berry dessert - it was definitely enough for two and it was awesome!

“lovely meal in unexpected place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 5, 2011

My wife and I had been touring in Oregon and wandered down the Columbia Gorge we actually stayed in Cascade Locks but were not much impressed with any of the resturants there so decided to try tripadvisor and found several in Mt. Hood including 6th Street Bistro. It was a wonderful surprise. The good was really good - we liked t & he little town - which was surprisingly lively with street concerts in a weekend at lobor day. The food was really good and the Crustada desert was a combination of varioous fresh regional berries in a pot with icecream on top - it was more than enough for two and was just awesome.

“Gorgeous coconut curry”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2011

We only stayed in Hood River for one evening but we were really pleased we went to Sixth Street Bistro. Lovely, fresh, local food and wines & good, quick service.

My partner and I both went for the coconut red curry and as you can see from the photo it was absolutely delicious.

“Fine dining showcasing the best of the Columbia Gorge”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 25, 2011

We had dinner at the Bistro after a long day of travel - and couldn't have found a better way to end the day. Relaxing little restaurant with 2 outdoor eating areas - a great way to spend the warm evenings in Hood River. The food was outstanding, featuring local, natural fruit, vegetables, meats and seafoods and it is skillfully prepared - absolutely delicious. Menu also includes offerings from local Gorge wineries and breweries. Started with a fabulous green salad with local pears and hazelnuts , then had the best rib eye steak ever - cooked to perfection with creamy, garlic mashed potatoes and tender crisp vegetables. The service was great. Would I go back? Sure did! And would again.

“Affordable quality”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 19, 2011

Friendly, helpful service - they even bring your purse to you when you leave it. A quality, yet unpretentious atmosphere and they favor local producers. Reasonable prices, tasty food - an overall good value for your dining experience.
