“Breakfast all day long but so much more.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 4, 2012

This restaurant advertized breakfast all day long. We wanted a nice lunch and I wanted to visit the small shops in this building.

We relaxed while they made fresh good sandwiches and I escaped to visit the antique shop in the corner.

People watching is easy with the window overlooking Hood. We relaxed and people watched and whiled away a good half hour there.

“Great baked goods!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 16, 2012

We stopped in and enjoyed a HUGE breakfast! My favorite was the cinnamon roll (homemade!). The coffee was ok, but my meal, the salmon burrito was great! The salsa verde was very spicy and good! A good brunch place!

“Great "greasy spoon" traditional diner”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 16, 2012

I love breakfast at Bette's and consider being a "greasy spoon" a compliment!
There are several (and very goood too) fancy/modern restaurant in Hood River but I love how Bette's delivers the traditional breakfast basics very well.
If you want a hearty, huge sized breakfast and you don't worry about your diet/colesterol for few hours, Bette's is your place. There are a few new spin like the crab benedict, but the classics are all great, from the farmer's breakfast, to Denver skillet, to eggs benedict (lots of Hollandaise sauce).
I have mostly gone there for breakfast (served 'till late), but their lunch is good too.
Service is corteous and fast. Decor is basic traditional diner, nothing fancy but it totally fit the experience and the food.
I always feel very comfortable and welcomed with kidds, they like to sit in the boots.
Bette's is my place for a great breakfast before hitting the ski slopes or the river for windsurfing.
