“Timberline Lodge”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 1, 2013

Rain and clouds prevented us from enjoying the outdoors at Mt. Hood, or from viewing the mountain itself, but our overnight stay in Timberline Lodge was worth the trek up the mountain, as well as the price of a room, on our way from Hood River to Bend. The lodge's history, architecture, artifacts and ambiance are a treasure, made all the more awesome when explained during an inspired guided tour by a volunteer ranger like Dr. Jerry Prescott. Dinner and breakfast in the Cascade Room were also excellent.

“Experience Dependent on Weather”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 29, 2013

We drove up to Mt Hood and Timberline lodge in late September knowing that the weather on the mountain predicted snow and low 40's to 30's. When we reached the lodge, it was lightly snowing and there was some snow on the ground. Unfortunately, the visibility was poor and we couldn't see anything but the lodge. The drive up was fine and the area was beautiful, but on this particular day we should have stayed in Hood River and explored that town instead.

“Drive up to Timberline lodge is a must.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 17, 2013

Fresh, fresh air abounds. Views at 8000 feet are exhilarating. Quiet roads in September made the trip easy and enjoyable. Old lodge has much history and character.

“Scary but Gorgeous!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 9, 2013

We drove over the mountain past Timberlake Lodge in the rain. It was a little scary, all the twists and turns, but quit beautiful.
