We have know about Simon's but never had to the chance to eat there. Went to Hood River for the last of the Apple Blossom Festival and decided to end our day at Simon's (Couldn't afford the time to stay at the famous hotel that houses Simon's) We were promptly seated at the table of our choice with a beautiful view of the Washington Shore of the Colombia River. We had a long drive home so we reluctantly dispensed with what appeared to be a luscious selection of wines and beverages. The menu offered some options seldom found on menu's, i.e. duck, venison and unusual seafood combinations. We had the duck and the venison. Both cooked as requested and elegantly presented. We topped it off with coffee and the locally prepared Huckleberry bread pudding. One touch that always pleases me is when a "take home box is requested" the server removes the plate and prepare the box away from the table. All in all a wonderful experience at at reasonable price for the quality and quantity of the meals. A spot to return to.
