Vivi's was a great place to eat. Great atmosphere, awesome food and superior service! I had never eaten Vietnamese food before and was very impressed!! I will definitely be back!

“Good but far from the best”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 28, 2013

This is a nice clean Vietnamese place for lunch-if you can find a place to park or eat. I certainly would not rate it 'the Best'-far from it. But it is not bad.
There are too many better Vietnamese places to eat on the East side and more are coming every day even in Hillsboro.
If you have to have this type of food you will not be awed-but neither will you be disappointed.
BTW-I have taken my customer to Vietnamese places for lunch well over 500 times in the last 10 years. I would give this place a 'B' to ‘B+’.

“oh yum!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 22, 2013

such flavorful broth in their pho! but get extra meat and ask for jalepino, because they skimp a bit. service was very nice, but somewhat slow. took a long while to get water refills, but food came out fast and everything tasted AMAZING. will def be back!

“Best soup I have had outside Vietnam”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 2, 2013

I am visiting America from Vietnam, i was missing the food but was very leary about eating in a Vietnamese restaraunt due to the excellent home cooking I get at home, however, After a bowl of Hu Tieu Bo Sate, I had to have a second. This restaraunt by far has the best Vietnamese soup I have ever had in America. I was also impressed with the owner who is personally involved with the food preparation and greets guests with a cheerie demeanor. Tomorrow I will stop for onenmore meal before regretfully moving on. This restaraunt is a must try.

“Consistently excellent, albeit a little crowded for lunch”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 29, 2013

This is the second time I've been to Vivi's and the meals and service have been excellent. I had grilled chicken and shrimp on vermicelli - the chicken was nicely done and the soup mild. I decided to add a little chili paste to step up the spice a little. This is probably a good default spice setting for Oregonians with a preference for less spicy dishes. I lunched with a work friend who is a regular at Vivi's and told me the meat is always consistently well cooked. The one downside is that the parking lot is tiny and the dining room a little tight. If the weather is nice, they have outside seating which alleviates the small setting. That said, last Friday I arrived a few minutes before noon and got a place to sit within 5 minutes or so, meaning the wait was tolerable. Probably the outside seating helped.
