Nights of stay: Friday - Saturday, March 25-26, 2005
The room comfortably fit the king-sized bed, nightstands on each side of the bed, a dresser topped by a TV, a desk, a sofa, and a coffee table. I found the bed particularly comfortable. There were also a small microwave and a mini-fridge (aka bar fridge). The sink and vanity were outside of the bathroom containing the shower and toilet. Also included were a hair drier, ironing board and iron, and 2 phones with separate lines. The free broadband internet access worked flawlessly. I hooked up wirelessly, but wired connections (Ethernet & USB) were also available (cables provided). There was also a small balcony with a couple of chairs.
The room was a non-smoking room, and seemed like it (no noticeable smoke odor at all). The carpet, bedspread, and other furnishings weren't new, but they were in excellent condition. We were on the top (3rd) floor, with a view of the courtyard. Street noise was not an issue in this room, and probably wouldn't be anywhere in this hotel, as there are no large streets that close. We could hear the TV from an adjoining room, but not too loudly.
The indoor, rectangular pool is quite small, but could be used as a lap pool with very short laps. The exercise room had 2 treadmills, a stepper, a bike, and a Hoist weight machine with 4 stations.
The hotel’s location is excellent, with Tanasbourne Mall just minutes away, and easy, quick access to Highway 26.
The only interaction I had with the staff was during check-in and check-out, but they were very friendly and efficient.
