“Not bad for weekend stay, pricey during the week”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 18, 2011

My wife, adult daughter and I stayed here while helping our son move into his new apartment in Hillsboro. Clean room and fairly reasonable price while we were here on the weekend but were told the rate would increase $50 on Monday - ouch!

We had a room that backed up to NE Cornell Rd, which got noisy around 7 am, if staying here request something on the inside of the complex. Room was a decent size until we pulled out the sleeper sofa. Bathroom was a good size but only had a stand up shower, which I don't mind just be aware if you're a full size tub/shower person. Breakfast was standard continental fare, bagels, muffins, assorted cereals, yogurt, ... not bad but nothing special.

Moved to the Comfort Inn for the remainder of the week, not a lot better but definitely less expensive.

This place is a poorly managed dump. Avoid at all costs. The staff are poorly trained and surely, the rooms small and noisy and housekeeping non existent. Not worth it at any price.

Very cozy for business trip, everythings loaded with refig ,desk kitchenette and internet and wiiffii included. would recommend someone who works and travels or someone with vacations package..You get to choose which rooms to be either upstairs or downstairs. the staffs are very very friendly and shuttles are 5 mile radius.Likewise with Marriot memebership.

I stayed five nights at the TownePlace Suites Hillsboro, Oregon using Marriott reward points. (It's worth noting that the hotel is only a "1" on Marriott's 7-level "point" scale, which means that you can stay five nights for only 30,000 points---a bargain, in my opinion). The hotel was perfectly located for me. I wanted a hotel that was close to, but not in, Portland; was within walking distance to the "MAX" light-rail train; had good highway access for out-of-town trips; and was not located at a busy highway exit that made it difficult to go walking (on leisure trips, I like to take a long walk after breakfast, weather permitting).

The hotel met all those needs. The MAX train was a pleasant (and safe) 12 minute walk away. Route 26 (the main highway from Portland to the beaches) was five minutes away. And the hotel bordered a beautiful residential neighborhood (Orenco Station) that was a delight to walk through every morning. There were plenty of bars and restaurants nearby, some of them within walking distance.

The hotel is spread out over about eight or nine two-story buildings. I was on the second floor of a building away from the main "clubhouse" building, but it was only a 2 minute walk away. I never heard a noise at night.

The front-desk staff were very friendly and helpful, as was the general manager. The housekeeping services were excellent. The breakfast offerings were about average for this type of hotel, maybe a little above average (except for the coffee, which I felt was weak).

Overall, I couldn't have been happier with my stay.

Although a little far from the city, this proved to be an excellent place to stay. The rooms, although a trifle small for the 4 of us (2 adults, 1 child & a toddler), were very clean and the little kitchenette was adequately appointed. The pool also was kept clean and generally stocked with sufficient towels. The staff was friendly and generally efficient. Although the breakfast is nothing fabulous, it seemed to me to offer a surprising variety. Also, the coffee was quite good.

I was a little concerned about what we'd find, given that Marriott considers this a "category 1" hotel for points rewards. However, I've stayed at many Courtyard and Residence Inns and found this place to be at least as good as my experience with those brands. I would definitely recommend this hotel to someone staying in the area.

I like consistancy and I always get it here. Clean & quiet rooms, accomodating staff, plenty of parking and more. You get a microwave and small fridge. They do have a seasonal pool area. Its a convenient walk out style complex with nicely kept landscaping and the best location.

This location has it all. Centrally close to Synopsis, Sun, Yahoo, Lattice, TriQuint, RadiSys, FEI, Planar, Genentech, SolarWorld, and all the Intel Campuses. All the Orenco Proper and Orenco Crossing shops and restaurants are walking distance as is the MAX commuter train. Cornell Road is the main access road into Downtown Hillsboro, Tuality medical facilites and Pacific University.

US 26 is just a mile away and will take you 20 mins into Portland, 90 mins to Mt Hood or 60 mins to the Coast. 53rd AVE park is just down the road and has amazing facilities. The Hillsboro Stadium would be very close as well. A business trip to Hillsboro is always enjoyable here.

This is what a Marriott should be!
From the moment you walk in the door you are greeted by a friendly, & professional staff.
Even though there is no actual room service the staff always offered to bring things to the room without asking.
The "No Smoking" laws were enforced. There was a seperate Smokers Kiosk where smokers could smoke without exposing others to the odor & 2nd hand smoke.
All guests were treated equal, whether were a lone traveler or part of a corporate account.
The beautiful grounds were an escape from the hustle & bustle of the outside world.
Great Location!
