“Light snack to go”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 2, 2013

Good access to beach, right across from our Best Western Hotel. Clams in chowder few and chewy, but chowder overall was tasty. Shrimp salad was good--adding shrimp to chowder improved it! Nice spicy sauce, fresh baked bread. The "to go" came with everything we needed, the server was helpful and polite. Would come back someday for a "real" meal

“Great Food & Friendly Staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 7, 2013

This is an excellent restaurant with a very friendly staff. Lacy, our waitress, was a pleasure to be around and she provided great ideas for exploring the area.

Stay at the Best Western across the street and eat at this restaurant -- you can't go wrong.

“Service is awful!!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed October 6, 2013 via mobile

Had my worst service experience at a restaurant ever here tonight! Our waiter couldn't remember drinks, bread, mustard, and our bill wasn't right at the end. The food was ok/decent but the service killed it. We are so easy going and just wanted a small meal and a few beers. We were hoping to come back and hang in the bar area another night--now afraid!! Another table had worse problems so it's common there... Stay away!!! Tomorrow night I'll be happier with roasted hot dogs!!

“A Great Place for Breadfast!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 3, 2013

This is our third time for breakfast and the food and service is great. We eat here every time we visit Brookings and always experience a friendly waiter, good food & a good variety of breakfast options. We will be back again...

“Where's the fresh fish?”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 2, 2013

Since we were staying at the Best Western across the road, Sebastian's was a natural choice and well recommended by the hotel staff. The sign outside boasted "Yes! we have halibut!" It's by the sea and next to a fishing port so I was looking forward to some fresh fish.

We booked for dinner but still had to wait a half hour for a table. It turned out that the halibut had been shipped from Alaska, and none of the fish was fresh, not a minnow of it, and I think the vegetables were out of catering packs. The meal wasn't bad but I could have had the same thing in the middle of the continent.

What a let down from a high expectation!
