“Taprock food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 5, 2014

Taprock staff are welcoming, kind, and patient, efficient, and thoughtful. It's always a great experience and the food is fresh, the right temperature and a good amount. They have diverse and very tasty menus. I go there regularly when in town, for breakfast all the way to supper. Great atmosphere.

“avoid this place”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed March 5, 2014

Beautiful view of the river but the food is less than mediocre. The service is ok and the view of the river especially when one sits outside on the deck is gorgeous. It's a shame that such a new and beautiful place serves food that is so disappointing.

“Beautiful decor, but food is hit or miss”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 4, 2014

I've been here a handful of times, each time it's been a different experience. Let me start by saying the interior of the restaurant is beautiful, view of the river - if you have one - is great too. My first visit was in the fall of 2013 with a party of four - Our server was pleasant, food was decent and reasonably priced. The second visit was a couple months later with the larger group (nine of us). VERY disappointing experience - especially since we were entertaining visitors! My prime rib was luke warm (ick) and two others who had ordered ribeye steaks said their entrees were tough and not flavorful. We decided to give the place one more try while my daughter was in the area during winter break. We were seated in the downstairs area and had a fantastic experience. Our server was also the bartender, and seriously, the friendliest and most attentive server we had encountered there! Plus the food was hot and tasty this time around. Bottom line, this place has great ambiance but sometimes the food doesn't live up to expectations.

“rather bland”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 4, 2014

Used to be a lot better! Portions were bigger and service was better. They've dropped to average or less in all respects. For a summer time lunch there is no better place to eat on the river, that goes without saying!

“You can't beat the location”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 4, 2014

This restaurant has fair to poor food offerings. The sandwiches/burgers are better than the main dishes. It is the location that makes it worth a visit. Not the food.
