“Great casual dining”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 29, 2013

We enjoyed a great casual dinner here - I had the pork shanks with barbecue sauce, my husband had the meatloaf. Both were big, delicious and well cooked.

“great food and view”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 27, 2013

The restaurant was withing walking distance of the hotel. The food was very good and we were able to get a table next to the window with a view of the Rogue river. They also had a deck outside on the lower floor that people could eat and drink on. We will go back.

“Not very good this visit”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 22, 2013

We are locals so when the weather is good we like to go and sit on the deck and enjoy the river views. We visited earlier this summer and the food was good. Last week the food was not good. My burger was overcooked even though I asked the waiter about how it would be cooked and he said they wouldn't overcook it. My husband had the same dish as last time, fish and chips. It wasn't as good and the serving was much smaller than last time. We did enjoy our server Lance who did a good job and was outgoing and friendly.
Other than the food my main complaint is when I tried to get up to leave I couldn't get my shoes off the deck. When I checked the deck and the umbrella stand you could see something spilled all over and it was very sticky. Note to management..you need to do some serious cleaning under the tables.

“Brunch Needs Improvement”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 16, 2013

We love Taprock and have eaten here many times and will again. As usual the deck is great and the service is good. The prices are excellent and portions good. Our last experience wasnt terrible but the buffet brunch had some issues. The beef roast was very tough, and the eggs benedick had very tough english muffins. The rest was o.k. and the fruit lovely and so pretty.

“Mixed review”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 16, 2013 via mobile

The restaurant was not that busy despite it being a warm Sunday evening. There were empty outdoor tables, but we were told we could eat downstairs in the bar if we did not want to wait for an outdoor table. our initial table was undesirable, and was immediately under a TV. The waitress was pleasant and friendly, but perhaps the restaurant was understaffed, as she was very busy and the service was slow. The indoor air temperature was very cold, and the waitress seated us next to the warm fireplace, which was helpful. The salads were very good. The pasta dish did not taste exactly right. The structure itself was impressive, and the setting next to a river was very nice. It was a little overpriced, particularly because we essentially expected to eat in the restaurant but were led to the bar and ate our meal there.
