“Good pancakes, lousy syrup and service”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed May 18, 2013

We stopped for breakfast May 6, 2013. I ordered a full stack of huckleberry pancakes (3) and my wife ordered a short stack (2). The pancakes were huge and tasty. Unfortunately the syrup was the thinnest I have ever seen - more like flavored water. There was only one other party in the café but the waitress ignored us after bringing our food. She never once came to check on us during the meal and never refilled our coffee. She seemed to spend most of her time sitting on the stool behind the register talking on the phone. We will never go back.

“Delicious pie”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 27, 2013

The huckleberry pie was very very delicious. All the food servings were generously large - lots of leftovers; but all the food tasted good. The service was a little slow, but that's okay - slow pace of life in this peaceful sleepy town, it gave me more time to drink more coffee.

“Great Place!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 14, 2013

First time there and had quick service and plenty of food. Plenty of menu choices and breakfast served all day! Open 24 hours which is a huge bonus. Will definitely be going back!

“A Government camp institution”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 12, 2013

This is the sort of place you would expect to find Flow, from Mel's diner. The breakfasts are great. Lunch is just what you need after a day on the mountain. I have not eaten dinner there, however, would not have high expectations based upon my culinary knowledge.

“Good food, great service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 6, 2013

After a fun day of tubing, I took my 4 and 8 yr. old grandchildren here for a late lunch. The place was absolutely packed, and we happily ate at the counter rather than wait 30 minutes for a booth. In spite of the rush, our server took time to explain some options and chatted with us about what we might enjoy most. The kids had delicious grilled cheese sandwiches and fries; I had the spaghetti & garlic bread. Everything was very good. Then we split a piece of their fabulous huckleberry pie, a la mode. The ice cream serving was very generous, as was the size of the piece of pie. Prices are reasonable and the atmosphere just what you'd want in a ski village.
