I arrived late to the Pacific Reef Resort after driving for 6 hours. I found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. I had a room in the older section of the hotel, but I had anticipated that since my rate seemed pretty low. The room was very clean with a fresh coat of paint. The bed was passable, but it's definitely time for a new mattress. It's off season, so the office closes from 8pm - 8am. Free breakfast was AWESOME because of Mary Ann, the woman in charge of the breakfast area. What an asset she is! All in all, I had a really good stay. The only drawbacks were the bed and the the tepid - not very warm shower. It seemed like a fluke, though. I'd recommend this place for people looking for an affordable, clean place with a very friendly staff. PS Wifi was pretty slow and is on an unsecured connection.
