Without question the highest quality hotel in Gold Beach. Having stayed at the Gold Beach Resort before and being disappointed my wife and I were passing through and decided to look at a room at Pacific Reef and were quickly taken with what they had to offer.
The good: New and clean rooms with quality touches, balcony overlooking the beach, big flat panel TV, nice meeting room overlooking the beach with nice quality furniture and large fireplace. Everything about Pacific Reef was warm and inviting.
Con: Breakfast was simple items like yogurt, hard boiled eggs, coffee and donut/muffins.
Overall the quality of the rooms and obvious pride the management takes in this establishment substantially out-weighs any cons. Highly recommended!

Room Tip: Ask for a room in the new building facing the ocean ; )

Room was the size of a prison cell - no hooks or hangers for clothes, loud heating system cycling on and off and waking us all night, old TV, most basic amenities, no hair-dryer - none of this would be cause for complaint if room was half the price. And no one on the premises throughout the night in case of emergency. Caveat Emptor!

Room Tip: Perhaps condos are larger - photos on line VERY deceptive as to size

We were in Gold Beach to take the Jet Boat Tour up the Rogue River, and chose the Pacific Reef after checking TripAdvisor. We stayed two nights in the recently upgraded section in Ocean Front Balcony Room 221. The room was quite spacious, had 2 queen beds and a nice view of the ocean. The balcony was a great place to enjoy the view and take a nap! Since we needed to be at our tour by 7:45, the continental breakfast came in handy! There were several other couples there having an early breakfast before heading to the boat tour. We had a restful stay.

Room Tip: Ask for one of the newer ocean front rooms on the top floor.

we stayed in condo 6 It was huge, 2 bathrooms, washer &dryer, desk upstairs for computer, free wi fi, close to the beach, we could hear and see the ocean, walk there easily from our room. Great staff, good breakfast. You could see the ocean from the enclosed hot tub. the kitchen was well equipped with all new appliances, dish washer and plenty of dishes pots and pans and even salt and pepper ! Would stay there again and again.

We are happy you enjoyed our Luxury Oceanfront Condo's so much that you took the time to share your experience with Trip Advisor. Thank you mentioning the Ocean View from our enclosed spa room, guests have been pleased with enjoying the view and at the same time keeping out of the cold wind and rain that visits our coast during the winter. We look forward to having you as our guest again in the near future.

Sincerely,
Debra

My wife and I have stayed at Pacific Reef twice now. We highly recommend the condos. Extremely nice inside with plenty of room. It is located closed to Tue beach, you can walk there in 5 mins. We have stayed many places on the Oregon coast and find ourselves going back to Pacific Reef. All staff are friendly and accomodating. Would recommend to anyone looking to get out towards the ocean for a night.

We stayed at the Pacific Reef because of the great ratings. We were not disappointed. We reserved a basic room, but decided to upgrade to ocean view king. It was worth the money. Tom took the time to show us 3 different rooms. Each one was very nice, but took the king. The rooms are modern and comfortable. The decor didn't look like typical hotel room. The beach is easy access and pefect for beach combing. We had the continental breakfast, that was fairly typical, but the lady who ran it made us feel like we were in a 5 star hotel. Probably the best part of this hotel is the staff. We plan on coming back in January. Looking forward to it.

Room Tip: If you are not sure, ask to see them. They will gladly show you.
