We were disappointed with our room at Valley River Inn. Our family needed to be in the area for a day midweek and booked a double queen room - with courtyard view - here. The lobby was beautiful, but the room seemed dated, the mattresses were lumpy, the corridors smelled faintly like cigarette smoke, and the rooms lacked many conveniences common in most family friendly hotels - including refrigerator & a microwave. The kids were disappointed that there was no indoor pool, although apparently there was an indoor hot tub that we never found. The nice thing about this hotel is location..you can walk across the parking lot to Valley River Mall, for great shopping and an IMAX Theater, and there are many excellent restaurants within easy waking distance. In the end, our family unanimously agreed that we would not choose to stay here again.
