“A new restaurant that is trying”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 16, 2012

We ate there and did not stay there. Campbell House has reopened and is trying to develop a fine-food clientele. The dining rooms are pleasant and furnished in early 1900s style. The young chef id trying to demonstrate his skills. There are some excellent choices on the wine list.

This may strike you as hyperbole, but I assure you that it is not. The Campbell House ranks amongst one of the best B&Bs I have had the pleasure to visit in the world. My brother and I had never been to Eugene before this trip; we will definitely be back to stay additional nights here.

An adequate review of a B&B should, if nothing else, address two essentials: 1) bed, & 2) breakfast. Both were magnificent. The Campbell House boasts top-quality accomodations in both regards. I simply can't say enough good things about this place. It easily ranks #1 overall on Tripadvisor, and any other B&B review site, in my book. The 4 diamonds placard over the front desk only proves to confirm that my tastes are aligned with professional critics to boot. You must stay here while in Eugene---it will not disappoint.

A weary and well-traveled,
David

Avoid the big hotel chains and stay at the Campbell House instead. This inn has 19 rooms and each is a little different. The rooms in the carriage house are larger than those in the main house, but all are well appointed, clean and comfortable. Free wifi, tv and private bathrooms in all rooms. When we arrived they offered us fresh baked peanut butter cookies and coffee. Wine is served around five and we sat by the fire and sipped a well balanced red. Breakfast is included and served from 7-10 in the sunny dining room. The house is within walking distance of good restaurants and the university.

Room Tip: Try to get a room in the carriage house.

Thank you for your nice review. We are so happy you enjoyed your stay in the carriage house. I can't think of a cozier place to enjoy a glass of wine, than by our fireplace in the dinig room. We hope you come back and see us soon. We will surely have some peanut butter or chocolate chip cookies ready for you!

This was a fantastic place to stay and they have a great staff there as well. The young lady who works sunday and monday late evenings ( Taleena ? ) has a great personality. She seems to really care about the guest staying at the Inn. I love the garden . I will deffinitely stay here again.

This was our first stay at the Campbell House, but it won't be our last! We were with family and friends in town for a wedding and all of us really liked our rooms, the delicious breakfasts, the chance to relax and talk in various spots in the lovely garden, and the helpful pointers on things to do and places to go in Eugene. This B&B is an oasis about 2 blocks from downtown restaurants and shops. Parking was easy and we appreciated the chance to have a full carafe of coffee each morning to enjoy in our room before breakfast.

Room Tip: The main house seemed to have nicer, sunnier rooms, though one of our group enjoyed the patio room i...

We've been staying at the Campbell House for years (seems like decades) whenever we come for Duck football games, reunions, track events, etc. It's in an ideal location: a 15 minute walk from university activities, 5 minutes from the river walk parks and lots of very good restaurants are close by. The rooms are cozy and very nice. It recently went through an ownership change. The service is still very good and maybe a bit more enthusiastic. We met some of the new owners/family and they are very intent on keeping the experience the best! We highly recommend the Campbell House for your stay in Eugene.

Room Tip: Stay in either the main house or the cottage - equally enjoyable! Try for the larger rooms. The sm...

Thank you so much for the nice review. We agree on our location being ideal. We are so close to everything, yet it feels so private and far away when you are up here enjoying our beautiful grounds. Thank you for being a repeat guest, we have gone through a change of ownership as you stated, and everything is going great. We are so happy you will continue to stay at the Campbell House. The new owners, as well as the staff look forward to your return.

Great staff - courteous and helpful. Beautiful and comfortable period furnishings in this old house turned inn. Great garden/yard. so relaxing and quiet. The only negative is that there is a railroad crossing about 1/2 mile away and we heard the horn blow a couple of times each night. The location is walking distance from 5th Street Market with its food court, shopping, and nearby restaurants. I only regret that we didn't know about the Campbell House on previous visits to Eugene. This place is refreshing when you consider that Eugene doesn't have a lot to choose from in hotels. On the other side is a park.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Campbell. The Eva next door was also nice.

Thank you so much for your nice review. We too, love our grounds. It is always so relaxing to sit outside and enjoy the beauty and quiet, even though we are just a few blocks from downtown. Thank you for noticing our friendly staff, we love our guests, I'm glad it shows. As far as the train whistle, this is something that can't be helped, and is common in most hotels. We aplogize for the disturbance, and trust we are very aware of how noisy it can get at times. We are so glad you finally stayed with us, and hope now that you found us, we will be your go to destination in Eugene.
