“Beautiful views, good restaurant”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 17, 2012

KE sits atop a hill with a great view of the countryside. We had brunch on Sunday; not cheap, but reasonable for a vineyard-based restaurant, and very good. Afterward, we sampled wines at the bar and took a tour of the wine-making fascilities. Altogether, a very nice outing.

“Regal Dining at King Estate”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 9, 2012

A very attractive location - particularly for lunch. A Mediterranean setting amidst rolling green hills. In good summer weather few locations possess greater ambience than this. And the food's not bad either! Not the cheapest but at least the check didn't give me a heart attack!

And if you sample a few of the wines before-hand you're bound to find at least one that tickles your taste buds. Knowledgeable and attentive servers in the dining areas (eat outside if you get the chance). Tasting room staff also know their product well.

I guess I lean more towards their white wines but hey - try them all!

“Fantastuic view and wonderful wine”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 8, 2012

I was taken away by the beauty of the setting and the excellent food that was served. The wines of Oregon and from this winery certainly measure up to anything in the world. The lofge is charming and blends in with the environment. A bit of Tuscany or Campania, Italy has been relocated to this charming location with rolling hills and vineyards as far as the eye can see. This is a must for anyboy touring the wine country of western Oregon. Truly remarkable.

“A wine country chateau on a hill”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 1, 2012

This is a beautiful place to go taste wine or have a meal. They have an extensive tasting list of wines, including white, red , rose and dessert wine. The food is beautifully prepared, using many ingredients grown on the estate and others sourced from nearby. You can eat inside by the fire or out on the pato overlooking the valley.

“Nice atmosphere but very pricy dinner”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 28, 2012

The al fresco dining and pleasant setting somewhat offset the sticker shock for the price of the meal. Although the food and dessert were excellent, I still think it was way over priced. Service was actually a little too attentive for my liking as well.
