Comfortable arm chairs (limited supply so don't be too disappointed...), many flat-screens (ignorable because of no volume), and faux English pub decoration are the environment, but that modest setting belies the much better than average pub food and the spectacular beers (brewed on site).
From massive barley wines and IPAs sporting colossal amounts of hops to more subtle ambers or stouts, this Mecca for beer lovers has it.
The food is fresh and non-greasy; this last attribute is most welcome because of its rarity!
The fish tacos, grilled halibut sandwich, fish and chips all are terrific. Want something red and dead? The steak is surprisingly good (a terrific value), the burgers are tasty, and the French Dip is lean and large.
