We dined on their patio this weekend, which is lovely and the food was quite good but the service was disjointed and a bit slow. First, the patio has a great view of the river and a nice atmosphere. The menu is good, varied and lots of fresh local options. The waitress was nice but maybe needed training. First, they didn't bring us a wine or drinks list and when we asked, the waitress just listed a few bottles they have. I am quite sure they have an extensive list so it was weird she didn't offer it. We got water and about 20 minutes later wine, about 45 minutes later our meals and no bread basket. Which I thought, well maybe they don't do bread here but as we were walking out everyone had a bread basket. The food was good, I had the seasonal salmon skewers and crab chowder and my husband had fish and chips. The salmon was perfectly done, but the veggies were not fully cooked. The fish and chips was not greasy and well crisped. The odd thing was my husband got a huge portion and I got a tiny one. I only got 4 1 inch vegetables. The other strange thing was that they automatically put on a 17% gratuity. Normally I'd tip more than that but with the disjointed service likely it would have only been 15. So overall, the food itself and the view were good enough that I'll give it one more chance but they really need to work on the service.

Thank you for sharing your recent experience and your feedback. We pride ourselves on genuinely warm Pacific Northwest hospitality by tenured and passionate associates. I want to apologize that your service was not as exemplary as it should be. I have meet with the Chef regarding portions of our menu items. We know you have choices when you dine out and we hope Sweetwaters on the River continues to be yours/
