“Eugene Oregon and wine country”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 27, 2012

My brother lives in Eugene and I have been to the Saturday market many times, but it never ceases to amaze me. Arts, crafts, and fresh organic food make this a weekly event worth going to.The huge assortment of fresh produce makes this a must see and taste! This year we also took a trip up north to Oregon's wine county. We stayed at a one hundred year old hotel in the lovely little town of McMenamins. It is nestled in the midst of the beautiful rolling hills of Oregon's breath-taking wine country. A great trip and not far if you are staying in Portland. It is well worth a visit, both to the the many wineries and the town itself, which is filled with smart boutique shops. The hotel itself is done in period detail. Artists have painted portraits and the story on the walls of each room someone is named for. Th hotel itself was a unique experience.

“The produce and food were gorgeous in September”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2012

The Saturday Market is a mix of produce and crafts. The produce was beautifully presented and at a very high level. Crafts aren't our thing but I'm sure to those that like this sort of thing this would be heaven.

“Don't bother unless you are a nostalgic hippy”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed September 21, 2012

Operated by the marginally employed and aging hippies. Quality of jewelry and crafts is poor. This market even sells tie-dye if you want to experience a return to the 1960's. The location is 2 attractive park blocks.

“Something for all your senses!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 7, 2012

Wow! I have experienced Farmer’s markets in other places, but this one is fantastic! There are the vendors of farm fresh and organic products including vegetables, fruits, locally sourced honey and syrups, eggs, grass fed antibiotic free meats including pork, poultry, beef, and lamb, and fresh seafood from the coast. Numerous delicious prepared food options are available with tables nearby to enjoy our selections. Another 2 block section is full of art, pottery, jewelry, unique tee shirts and hats, fortune tellers and more. On every corner there is live music of almost every genre, I’ve seen violins, keyboards, accordions, banjos, cellos and a sitar. There is another corner that has drums pounding a steady beat and people can be seen dancing to a different drummer, literally. But the essence of the market can be seen in the people. You get a true taste of the artsy, eclectic flavor of the city of Eugene by walking through this wonderful market.
