“excellent stay at a great price!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 20, 2012

We have stayed several times and we love it! We get the two bedroom suite and are able to spread out and be comfortable. It is nice to have a kitchen to make snacks and enjoy some wine. We have stayed at other properties in the area and have been disappointed until we found this quiet and comfortable space. The price is very reasonable for all you get. It is our home away from home in Eugene and we are headed back on Saturday to enjoy another stay. Please come and stay at the best!

Room Tip: we love the 2 bedroom suite

We stayed one night as a pass through of Eugene. As a location it is isolated from Eugene proper but close to the freeway. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Our suite had a nice sitting area with comfortable enough furniture but it was a little threadbare. The kitchen is full-size and had everything we could have needed had we decided to cook. Two nice sized televisions were a nice addition. We brought our large dog and they were pleasant about it. Wired internet access is complimentary (would expect that for an extended stay) but felt like the fees for the dog ($75 for one night) and $17 for a movie were pricey. I whined a bit about the dog fee at check-in and the fella at the front desk explained that it is a one-time fee and works well if you are taking advantage of the extended stay. Fair explanation but I think perhaps there should be two models for that charge.

We stayed here recently and found it to be a nice hotel with a convenient location for those who like to go for walks along the river which is across the street. The rooms were comfortable and very clean. The rooms have a nice kitchenette with all the amenities. The separate living room is good for being able to watch TV while others sleep. The staff was found to be helpful when we discovered there are no ice machines and a remote did not work. A trip to the front desk solved both problems. (The staff explained the ice makers in the refrigerators are turned off between guests). The breakfast was well stocked with the usual continental breakfast fare and was not so crowded on a Sunday that we had to eat in our room. Our only complaint was we had to bus our own table. The room was well worth the money and we would stay there again. Our room was on the east side of the hotel and we could hear the traffic on Coburg Rd outside the window. The noise was not as loud as one might expect but might bother a light sleeper.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the west side of the hotel away from Coburg Rd for a quieter stay

We booked the Residence Inn Eugene for parent's weekend at the University of Oregon as closer campus locations were sold out. We were pleasantly surprised by the space in our one bedroom suite with sitting area and kitchenette. The unit had a two burner electric stove, full size refrigerator, and dishwasher. Large flat panel TV's were in the sitting room and bedroom. Included breakfast buffet was expansive. Staff was friendly and accomodating, location of the property was great to walk to Autzen stadium for the football game. We were so impressed, we booked the property for our next stay before we left! Highly recommended.

This may very well be one of the best Residence Inns I have ever visited. The property and rooms were clean, comfortable, and updated. The fold-out sofa used by our teenager was in good shape. The front desk and breakfast staff were outstanding.

The property is across the street from the bike/walk/run path along the river, steps away from “Pre’s trail” and a park, and within easy walking distance of the downtown area and restaurant district. (Note, it is not walking distance to the main campus.)

I would not hesitate to stay here again.

We are travelling around the USA for one month and we stayed in Eugene to do the Sea Lion Caves in Florence. Upon arriving the young lady at the front desk was very friendly (apologies for not getting her name) and extremely helpful. Check in was a breeze. Our room was very clean and tidy (one thing I look for as I am a clean freak). The location was perfect for us - the park across the road for our 5 year old to exert some energy, the walking path along the river is spectacular and only a short walk to downtown. We made use of the kitchen facility which was excellent. The breakfast would be the best we have had and changed daily which was great as we extended our stay to 3 nights. Our only gripe was the a/c unit in our room was extremely noisy. We give it a 5 out of 5 as we have stayed in some good places but this place exceeds all expectations- especially for the price.

Room Tip: We overlooked the pool which was nice.

I came out to Eugene to help open one of our restaurants. We are in the store 14 hours a day and love to come back and relax. When I went up to my room the first time I was amazed. It was clean and huge! It was like a home away from home. Everybody at the front desk had a smile and was super friendly. I will be back for sure ever time I come out to visit the store.
