I certainly don't fault any hotel that wants to upgrade and improve but unfortunately there are some downsides that come with that: it's loud with a lot of commotion, there are guests coming and going everywhere in the front lobby and the banging of construction work is also happening, I walked into a lobby with no fewer than 20 people standing around the reception area. So I asked the group, "Coming or going" so I could determine next course of action. Stand in line, in the back behind everyone or move directly to the front; my personal preference.
Luckily, they were all waiting on a bus to pick them up and I moved to the front but only to have our conversation drowned out by the banging of young vs. old construction worker and the appropriate way to hang dry wall. Someone give me an Advil STAT!!!

The hotel main floor is going through extensive renovations. Right now I cant see the forest through the trees but can only assume the final product will be an improvement. Right now it is an all around inconvenience. I would ask when they will be finished but I don't care. I'm only here for one night and I leave to go back to KC tomorrow.
Do not accept a room that faces the front of the building where you WILL hear the trains go by all n...

Thank you for sharing your review of our hotel. You feedback is very much appreciated.
I am very sorry that the renovation work in our lobby and public space impacted your stay negatively. We are making effort to minimize the impact of these upgrades as best as possible. The renovations of the public space will conclude on August 1st. We will continue work on our guest rooms in August, but the guest floor that work is being completed on will be closed and the construction work will not impact the other guest rooms.
Thank you again for providing your feedback. i do hope you chose to stay with us again and are able to experience our hotel after the renovation is complete.
