The main reason I went to this winery was because of the name Drouhin, a famous Burgundian wine producer. I was hoping the wines would be impressive enough for me to purchase in cases. The tasting room is situated on the top of the Dundee Hill which offers a breathtaking view of the valley. They have a patio area which is perfect if the weather is nice.
Tasting fee is $15 per person and it can be shared. The Chardonnay was smooth with good acidity and nice balance, but it resembles the Californian style more than a Chablis. The entry level Pinot Noir (a blend of multiple vineyards) was light and fruity but I won't pay $40 for it. The last one on the tasting menu was a single vineyard Pinot Noir that has tonnes of flavour and fruits on the nose & palette, great balance of alcohol and acidity, and a nice long finish. It costs $65 per bottle and to me that's a bit overpriced. Their Burgundian wines from famous communes such as Pommard and Gevrey-Chambertain are selling around $50. Go figure.
