We enjoy the beautiful drive from Salem to Dallas for dinner at Murphy's Grill, and have eaten there a number of times. This time, one of us ordered the salmon with blackberry sauce and the other ordered a N.Y. steak so that we could share and enjoy both. Dinner began with a large green salad which tasted very fresh and included some cucumbers. The bread was warm and delicious. The steak was cooked as we asked and was very tender and moist with a nice seasoning on it. The salmon portion was small, but delicious. We both commented on the fresh cooked seasonal vegetables, something more expensive restaurants sometimes fail to provide. We opted for the day's special dessert, cocoanut cream pie and split the mini-pie. A nice touch was small pieces of toasted almonds on top of the whipped cream. Food was served prompty. All questions were answered and boxes cheerfully provided to take some food home.
