“Mini Version of New York's Central Park”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 19, 2014

Corvallis Central Park is a great place for a study, meeting, birthday, or just to run around and have fun! I am pretty sure that this is Corvallis's city park. My 5 year old twins, Maya and Megan
chose this location for several special occasions. Great place for playing kickball, and a loop
around the park make's for a fantastic way to get some exercise.

“Central Park, Corvallis version”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 24, 2014

This park brings lots of memories, not only because it's like a mini version of Central Park in NY but because I took my two boys there all the time when they were little. It has a playground and sand area that kids love.

“A place to sit for awhile”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 5, 2014

Central Park is a one block area on the west end of downtown. If you are visiting Corvallis and need a break for awhile or a place to have an outdoor lunch, this is one option. There is plenty of open grassy space and some playground equipment for kids to burn off energy. What I find less appealing about Central Park is that it may also bring you the recognition that Corvallis has a homeless issue. It would not be surprising to encounter some homeless folks hanging out in the corner of the park near 6th and Madison. I used to like walking through Central Park in the early morning and sometimes early evening (after dark) but don't feel so comfortable doing that anymore. A good place to spend some down time if you are in the downtown area for an afternoon is the area around the Courthouse at 4th and Monroe (a few blocks from Central Park). There are benches and shade there for a break from a warm summer afternoon.
