Traveling though Corvallis on our way to Newport, but the weather took a turn for the worse and we need a place to stay for the night. I knew of the HIE here and stopped in. All the staff from morning to evening were very friendly and helpful. Any question I had they helped answer. The hotel is about 6 years old and is in great shape! Very clean, look almost new. If you are looking for a nice place to stay, that is clean, comfortable, and friendly I would recommend here.

In order to attend a conference in Corvallis, I made a guaranteed reservation in March for a 4 night stay (7/14-18/07 at the HIE in Corvallis, and was set to leave on Saturday July 14, when I received a call on Friday the 13th informing me that my reservation had been cancelled due to "overbooking" and then explaining that this was standard practice in the hotel industry. They offered to book me in at the HIE in Albany, OR, 15 miles away. With no other option available in town I took the room in Albany, but as a result was forced to rent a car. When I got to the conference I found out that I had, along with a number of other guests, been bumped so that the hotel could accommodate a TV crew.

The room was very clean and fresh. We had a river view and it was very peaceful and entertaining to watch. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. The king suite was excellent....comfortable bed, lots of pillows, very clean, roomy and it all made our stay very special. They had a nice, lite breakfast and a PP&J bar and milk late at night for those who were still hungry. We enjoyed several peaceful walks along the river front all the way into town and on Saturday there was a great farmers market with everything from veggies to breads and ribs. I highly recommend this hotel for families, business people traveling, or for just a nice quiet stay. They also allow pets so the whole family can enjoy their stay. *****

Very reasonable rates. Our room had an awesome view of the Willamette River. Fantastic hospitality. The room was nice and clean. Beds were comfortable. Refrigerator and microwave in the room. Free WIFI in the room. Free continental breakfast was nice and every night they had free cookies and milk and a peanut butter and jelly bar. A very nice, reasonable priced hotel with excellent staff.
