“Don't leave the gorge without stopping here!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 29, 2011

This is a must see destination for everyone to appreciate! It's right along the historic highway, you don't need a whole lot of time to be there to take it all in, but depending on when you go the parking might be a little congested. If you go, DON'T FORGET YOUR CAMERA!!! You get a fantastic view of the Columbia River and the gorge walls. The Vista House is used quite often in movies and is fairly easy to identify. The movie "Short Circuit" had a scene with the characters looking out from the Vista House. If you're flying over it, you can usually see it from the plane because it's surrounded by a circle of lights. No matter how many times you go there, every time is still as stunning as the last. ENJOY!

“A million dollar view with a hundred dollar building”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 13, 2011

The view is absolutely remarkable, but the physical structure - even after renovation - is a total disappointment.

“Worth a stop”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2011

We were traveling along the Columbia River Gorge with no real destination in mind. This was a great stop on our trip. The view from the Vista house are amazing. The building itself is interesting to look around. This is a short stop, don't plan on spending more than 15 -30 min here.
