Twice now, Little Italy has given us a hit and a miss in the same meal. He ordered cannelloni and I had a pork panini. I didn't like the idea of the mustard sauce so I ordered my sandwich without any. It wasn't crisp or warm and tasted like old ham. I don't like the ridged panini bread either.
On the other hand, his pasta tasted excellent. The al dente noodle held layers of met, sauce and cheese perfectly blended with just enough garlic to stick in my memory. I only had a few bites as I'm respectful of "his" plate. Not so respectful as to be above stealing some!
We also sat and listened to the waitress chat with her friend instead of bring us some bread and salad. Plus the music kept repeating the same song. You'd think with so few customers, I think it was just us and one other table, they would have doted.
It will be a few months before I can justify going back.
