“OK stay for the price”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 16, 2012

We stayed here one night on our way to Newport. The hotel rooms were clean but a bit dated, but the price reflected that.. The beds were very comfortable. The pool was outdoors, which we enjoyed as it was very hot, even late into the evening. The pool could have been a bit cleaner but not scary. The location was great, just across the freeway from Clackamas Town Centre Mall, but the access was a bit awkward, through a strip mall parking lot. Breakfast was pretty standard coffee, pastries, fruit.

Only paid 45 a night with hotwire so it was a great price. Everyone is nice. Its RIGHT ON THE FREEWAY so you will hear non stop traffic. Bed was firm, and comfortable. Just a cheap cheasy hotel, nothing more... One thing... MAKE SURE to call if you are late because they will sell your room to someone else. They get lots of walk ins.

Room Tip: they have some on the parking lot side, and most on the freeway side.

For the price paid for this hotel through Priceline, I wasn't really expecting anything much. The room itself was really small (less than 100 sq ft) and a bit dated with 1980's renovation decor. The room was very clean and well maintained however. The air conditioner is really loud but other than that, the room was very quiet.

The breakfast was great and had make-your-own waffles, toast, muffins, couple types of cereal, instant oatmeat, hard boiled eggs, apples, bananas, apple and orange juice, coffee, tea and milk.

The hotel is located just off I-205 and about 20 minutes from Downtown Portland while driving. There's a Tri-met train terminus station across the Interstate with direct LRT trains to Downtown Portland, so very convenient even if you don't have a car or want to drive Downtown. There's a big mall beside the LRT station as well.

Had pretty good service from the night clerk, but the morning clerk seems a bit mean and hard to talk to. Didn't have much in terms of maps or travel information about the area, or places to recommend. Overall, a good hotel if you are paying a low price.

Room Tip: Choose a room closer to the lobby so you don't have to walk as far to breakfast.

Location was exactly what we wanted and we got a great bargain price from Hotwire. Room was extremely small, but adequate for our purposes and very clean. Best part of our stay--Sam (Samantha?) the night clerk. What a sharp young woman! We sat in the lobby for quite some time using the hotel computer and observed first-hand how Sam handled one challenge after another, always efficiently, courteously and professionally. Sam deserves FIVE stars.

I researched and researched prices for a weekend Portland stay, this place had the best rate. Its a lil bit of traveling to and from downtown portland but it is near the tri-met which takes you everywhere. The room was small, but the price I paid you cant beat it. It had breakfast which was ok, nothing fancy but free so who can complain? In the area there is SEVERAL places to eat within walking distance and a very nice mall across the highway, with a movie theater and more restaurants. again, the rates for this hotel cant be beat, it wasnt fancy, but it wasnt dumpy and the hotel staff was great. If you are traveling on a budget stay here.

The room was clean but very small. This is an outdated hotel that really needs remodeling. I won't be staying here again---just not what I expected.

We have stayed there several times over the last few years but not any more, it needs updating and cleaning. Rooms are dirty, bath tub was cracked and dirty, tv broken, etc.
