We decided to stop for lunch at The Horse Radish during a day of wine tasting in the Willamette Valley. It was recommended to us by Jason at the Roco Winery tasting room in Newberg (visit them for a flight inspired tasting). The menu has everything from an olive plate to a sort of "pick your own" charcuterie plate with case of artisan cheeses to choose from, pizzas and sandwiches. We started off with an amazing salmon spread served with a baguette that left us almost licking the dish that it was served in. My husband enjoyed a roast beef sandwich on focaccia bread while I had the quiche made from artisanal cheeses served with a side salad of mixed greens, fresh goat cheese, dried cranberries and a mushroom vinaigrette. The quiche was so light, fluffy and airy but still rich in flavor. The moral of the review is, don't be fooled by it's casual nature because the food is fabulous and the service was excellent!
