We had a great time at Lumberyard...granted, we sat at the bar and enjoyed watching football games with the bartenders and the other locals that sat around it as well. I'm embarrassed to say we spent a weekend at Cannon Beach in Oct where the sun was shining and the temperature hovered around 65 and we spent literally 10+ hours over three days at the Lumberyard. But we had a great time watching football games, visiting with the bartenders, and getting to know other people that were joining us as well.
I want to call out Matt, Allen, and Geoff who worked the bar while we were there. Each of them were some of the nicest bartenders I have ever had, fun, interactive, cool, and just made you feel at home as if you were a local.
The food is also good. It's not fine dining, but I would call it, upscale sportsbar food. The burger is great, pizzas are pretty decent, and BBQ chicken salad was good as well. I would also ALWAYS add the wedge salad for $3.99 with a meal. A darn good wedge for the money! Not a lot of seafood here so if you're looking for good fish at the coast, you might want to look at another place. There's also a wine bar attached to the Lumberyard and it has some GREAT bottles for purchase or to taste. Check it out while there.
Happy hour is from 3-6pm everyday and they have some good pricing on some great food. The nachos are a great deal and micros go from $5 bucks to a mere $3. And I have to honestly say, COLDEST beer in town. The beer is so ice cold, by the time you're almost done drinking it it has warmed up to about what most places serve theirs at.
