“Great place to eat ribs or burgers and watch football!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 8, 2013

The Lumberyard is a good place to eat with a nice bar area and TV's all around to watch sports. The ribs are awesome with a good smoky flavor. I also found that they cooked my burger to perfection...well done...which most places don't get right. The sight actually used to be a lumberyard so it is designed in that light with open duct work and ceiling. It is a popular place so it can get crowded quick. The service was okay but nothing special. Definitely have the s'mores for dessert! We will be back.

“Decent Food Great Place to Watch the Game”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 2, 2013

The food was decent. We ate fried pickles, and onion rings as appetizers. Stick with beer and wine. The mixed drinks were poor. Had the crab legs with were fresh. The ribs were also good. The smore dessert is fabulous Great place to watch football and meet up with friends. Chain like atmosphere with warm friendly service. Place is closed on Tuesday and Wednesdays.

“Not so hot”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed September 26, 2013

Not overly impressed. Service is good but food is not made with a lot of love. Had ravioli and pasta was not cooked enough and sauce was cold and looked like it came from a can. Disappointing as it's typically hard to mess up pasta

So sorry to hear that you were disappointed with the pasta. I talked to the chef and he will go over preparation with his staff. Thank you for letting us know what your experience was. We can always learn if we are willing to listen. Best Regards, Vicki Clarke

“Only go here if you must take your dog to dinner”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed September 23, 2013

The food is okay. My burger was overlooked and dry. The fries were delicious, though, but that shouldn't be a reason to eat here unless you go to the bar and have a beer and fries! I complained about the burger and got poor attitude from Vicki, so it is a poor place when the manager has a snotty attitude. Skip it, go to the Irish table. Should have eaten there two nights in a row. Live and learn!
No one came to our table and I had to flag down a waitress and I asked if we were her table and she said, no, but she would take care of us. Sophie was super nice, but why weren't we greeted by the wait staff who supposedly had our table? Who knows. Like I said, skip it! Castaways next door is a hundred times better!

Thank you for reviewing. I apologized for your dissatisfaction with your burger, I took the meal off your bill and then wished you and your husband a pleasant evening. My toolbox is empty unfortunately. Best Regards, Vicki Clarke

“Delicious Warm Cornbread”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 23, 2013

The salad was fresh, warm sweet cornbread served in an iron skillet, terrific pot pie and to top it off, our server, Laura was one of the sweetest we had in Cannon. We will be back.
