“Very Good - but not a great value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 20, 2010

I would recommend the food - nothing you're going to find at an Iron Chef-type restaurant but what they serving is fresh and very well prepared. The only problem is that you're paying Iron Chef prices! I can understand why - the real estate on which the restaurant is located had to be very costly. Just be prepared - as someone noted below, dinner with wine and tip is going to run about $60 per person.

The serving staff was excellent, which is far from a given on the Orgeon Coast - and the wine selection was outstanding.

“Not worth it for what you get”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 19, 2010

Views were pretty, servers were nice, but the food just wasn't that good for the price. We would not go back.

“I go to Cannon Beach just to go to the Wayfarer Restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 18, 2010

I go to the Wayfarer Restaurant for the Hot Crab Sandwich. Yes, it is very pricey, but it is worth the splurge especially with a glass of wine. What you get is a lot of crab and some cheese melted between very soft warm bread. As a side you have options of fries and some other things, but I got the cucumber salad which went very well with the richness of the crab and cheese. It's sooo good.

The service at the Wayfarer was excellent. Very attentive and accommodating. No problems, only praise for our waiter. The atmosphere was quiet and calm.

Besides the great food and excellent service, there is the AWESOME view overlooking the beach and Haystack Rock. I can't see how it could get better...

“An upscale Retiree's Perkins.”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed September 10, 2010

If some of the best memories of your life include hanging out in smoke filled restaurants with shag carpets and overstuffed booths, then this is your place. It reminds me of the places my parents used to take me back in the 70's. The smoke is gone but the 60+ crowd is still there. The food is really not up to par and the prices are what you would pay for a top of the line restaurant. The cost for two people including a glass of wine and tip was $120.00. If you really must dine here, check out their wines. They do have a good selection...

“Quite Average”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed September 8, 2010

My husband had the salmon and I had the razor clams. Pretty average for the price, w"e would not go back. Kind of the "Perkins of the beach" for food - not what you would expect for the price.
