In our road trip this summer we had the opportunity to hike and visit Ecola Park. It is a park used by surfers and locals for picnic but for
tourist its a must see. Be ready to hike and walk a distance to get to
the top and see the views but they are worth the effort. Bring hiking boots, water and camera and plan on spending at least 2 .5 hours to enjoy the walk and sites. After the hile we drove south along the coast highway. Plan on spending some time stopping at the drive out to
view the Pacific. It is worth your time as it is memorable and fanastic view. In some areas you can see both Cannon Beach and Seaside. Enjoy it and drive slow and carefully.

We ended up visiting the park longer than we expected to because it was so beautiful. If you have time plan a picnic or a swim. Great photo opts...

We were leaving Cannon Beach to head north on 101 and saw the sign for Ecola State Park and decided to stop real quick. Glad we did...What beautiful views...Unlike any other....This was the highlight of my Northwest Trip....

Stunning views are what you will find at this gorgeous area of Cannon Beach. We spent yesterday afternoon here, having a picnic and soaking up the beauty on a beautiful sunny day at the coast.
We enjoyed over 2 hours here, leisurely walking around the paths and stopped to spot some whales that were out in the ocean. We love spending time at Ecola State Park, there is also Indian Beach, you can walk the trail there or drive. It is a favorite surfing spot on the coast for our family.
We purchased the Annual Pass to the Oregon State Parks since we will be spending lots of time here in the future. You can purchase these at the entrance to the park, there are hosts there that will also answer any questions you may have about the area.
