“Non-traditional Turkey Day Meal”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 30, 2013 via mobile

The Hubster and I made a reservation for our dinner there and were pleasantly surprised. They offered a very lovely prix fixe menu of 3 delightful courses. It started off with homemade rolls, cornbread and a refreshing cranberry compote. Next came a starter which included a crab cake and a deviled duck egg...both so satisfying! The Hubster had a very moist stuffed pork tenderloin which he enjoyed immensely. My main course was a pistachio-encrusted salmon, which was cooked just right with the fish being juicy and rich. Our dessert was lemon sorbet, which was the cool lightness needed to end a hearty delicious meal. Props must be given to gentleman server who does his job with a poise and finesse one rarely encounters!

“cute, tasty cafe”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 30, 2013

I had their chicken brie melt sandwich - which had cranberry compote, basil and was super tasty! my husband had the warm bacon salad - he liked the flavors, but wasn't fond of the fried egg on it.i then had their small maple bacon cupcake which was a spice cake w/ bacon on top - was ok. the coconut lava cupcake is stunning!! great chocolate/coconut flavors. the café is tasteful and comfortable to eat in! the cost of tea is high - we found out when my husband's vanilla black tea was $5.25! it was quite tasty, but felt that was high for a pot of tea . other teas are in the $3-4 range which is still steep. food prices were quite reasonable!

“Highly recommend this for a lunch stop”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 22, 2013

This lovely little restaurant is located in an old hotel on the main street in downtown Cannon Beach. It is meticulously maintained and well designed with a sensitive feel for it's heritage.
The food was really quite good. I had the Prime Rib sandwich. The really nice waiter offered to buy it for me if it wasn't one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. It was!
And this waiter was a gem, he had a great personality and style, and made our lunch even better with his presence.
Only open for lunch. We would have gone back for dinner if that was an option.

“Chef IS GOOD”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 18, 2013

This is in the same building as the Cannon Beach Hotel. Decorated with black and white tiled floor,,
cafe type tables and chairs, (I love the coziness of this cafe).
My husband and I had lunch there today and the hot bowl of clam chowder and spring lettuce with goat cheese, and beets, (soup and salad combo, you can pick and choose form several salad and at least 2 choices of soups) just hit the spot.
They will be open till Thanksgiving, (yes they are open on thanksgiving, the staff celebrates on another day) but you better get your reservations fast, because it looks like they'll be full soon..
We will be sure and stop in next time we are in town. Oh, I almost forget to mention, she bakes cupcakes, daily and gluten free one too.
