“Beautiful Beach”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 11, 2013

Clean white sands with mild waves, a great place to just view, or walk or jog, or take your dog, or kite. Cannon Beach is a beautiful town. Lots of great art Galleries, and the Savor Cannon Beach Wine Festival in March is a fantastic event, showcasing many, many small prize winning wineries you don't see in the big stores. The whole town gets into it. Check it out on the web site, it is wonderful. This was our second year, and we will go again.

“Beautiful!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 8, 2013

You can see this scenery in both Steven Spielberg's movies "Goonies" and "1941". No wonder why he chose this place for filming, it's just beautiful. Great fun for both young and old. And don't forget the beach front seafood restaurant called "Mo's", worth the visit.

“Much better then Seaside!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 6, 2013

We've stayed at both and always return to Cannon Beach. The town is much quieter with a slower pace. The shops and restaurants and fabulous. I was disappointed to see that Dooger's was gone. It was one of our favorite places to eat.

“Galleries, coffee & restaurants”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 5, 2013

Always worth a visit. We enjoy the galleries and just walking through the town and then the beach. Usually have lunch at the Wayfarer but there are plenty of restuarants in town. We visit once a year and always look forward to Cannon Beach.

“Jewel of the Oregon Coast”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 28, 2013

Cannon Beach is not to be missed! Named for an actual cannon that washed up on the beach, it is a gem of a spot on a gorgeous coastline. Make this your hub for a vacation trip up and down the coast, or at the very least, stop for lunch and a visit to the monolith (one of the three biggest such natural structures in the world). On the sunny day that we were there, the wide, expansive, and generally immaculate beach featured laughing children, happy families, well-behaved pooches, and photographers trying to capture memories of this completely unique and beautiful place. It is a considerable walk to the monolith, but the sand is easier to walk on than the typical beach.

The town itself is a treasure, as well, with quaint shops, lots of places to eat or grab a pastry, and friendly locals. In summer it can be quite congested, though, so start early. It's pricey, too, but well worth the extra expense compared to surrounding towns. And the very best part is the state park right beside it - absolutely otherworldly beauty. There are no words...

That's Cannon Beach, the Jewel of the Oregon Coast.
