“Great choice with very friendly staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 17, 2012

My wife and I spent 3 nights (Sep 12-14th, 2012) in unit 217. The only remotely negative thing I
can think of is that the cookies are far too good and impossible to resist ! Extremely friendly and helpful staff in all areas. Very good breakfast served
from 07:00-10:00am in the "Gallery". Cereal, bagels, toast, fruit, waffles, hard boiled eggs,
coffee, juices, milk presented in a very serene environment with art and a tv screen
of tropical fish.
The lodge is very pet friendly as is everywhere in the Cannon Beach area.
Cookies are available at the front desk which is a nice touch.
A very current selection of DVD's is available also.
The property is just what we were looking for; quiet, great fish pond and foliage in the
courtyard (even a few bunnies hopping around).
The information binder in the room is very thorough and well thought out.
the rooms are well appointed with a coffee maker, fridge, microwave.
They appear to have thought of everything needed in the units. The main shopping area
in town is 2.0 miles away, too far to walk but no big deal. There are 2 places to eat
in the immediate vacinity; The Warren Pub and Mo's, we dined at both. The pub
is literally within a few hundred feet of the front desk.
The beach is very close, a walk of maybe 2 short blocks. The front desk even
sells campfire kits with wood, marshmellows, roasting sticsks and you can take
a fold up chair to the beach with you.
The only minor thing to consider is that it is not right on the beach and is not
within walking distance of the main town area, but we knew this going in and
did not bother us at all.
We will definitely return to this property !

Room Tip: Room 217 with king bed, no jacuzzi has nice large deck & vaulted ceiling

It's on the main road of town off 101. Beautiful rooms with balconies, fireplaces and large flats screen tv. You can rent movies in the lobby. Friendly staff have all local restaurant menus on file for you to see and will give you directions. Beautiful courtyard and landscape. Pet friendly upon request.

The Inn at Cannon Beach has the misfortune of being a block and a half off the beach, though access is easy enough. Otherwise, it's nearly perfect. The rooms are well appointed and spacious. There's breakfast each morning that is much better than the usual hotel breakfast. A newspaper is brought to the room each morning, something unusual and much appreciated in a resort town hotel. There's an extensive list of DVDs that are free to "rent." And the hotel staff was both friendly and competent. Alas, the in-room coffee was only fair. Overall, this is a great place to stay for both couples and families unless a view of the water is critical.

We savored our multi-generational getaway at both the Inn and the Lodges. Arriving during a freak August slate of rain and cold weather, we were delighted to find hot cocoa, smores and good cheer by the incredible staff. Really lovely service, fit and finish to the property and terrific location!

The Inn at Cannon Beach is a number of adjoining, two story buildings placed around an open courtyard with an adjoining breakfast building. The rooms are spacious and have either a garden area or a small, but serviceable balcony. Room jacuzzis are among the largest I've seen, easily allowing two to enjoy them. The showers are industrial, but functional. The bathrooms, overall, are large and functional. The rooms similarly are large and open with flat screen televisions, a fireplace and lots of windows and well ventilated. The Inn is no more than a city block from the beach. Some view of the ocean is available from our top level room, and it is limited. While it is not directly on the beach, the Inn is very pleasant and quiet. It is pet-friendly, so expect a few dogs on the property. Staff at check-in are very helpful. It's not a five star... and it's a solid B plus, which is pretty good for a beach town.

Room Tip: The second floors are all walk-up, no elevators.

We stayed here for 3 nights while exploring the Oregon Coast. It served as a great homebase. It is close to the ocean, there are a few good restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance (but, Cannon Beach town is not within walking distance). The grounds were lovely and the rooms were clean and spacious. The fireplace was a very nice addition. We loved it and would return!

I'm a budget minded traveler and very used to finding great deals & discounts. So when I saw the price of these rooms ($250/night), I thought it was little high, but in the end, we thought every penny we paid was worth it. The inn is located only two blocks away from the freeway exit and one block from the beach. So we found the place easily. When we (2 adults & 2 kids) arrived at the inn, we really liked the atmosphere right away.

Staffs are very friendly and helpful. Free dvd rental was a great feature for the kids. We skipped the free cookies though. Room was very clean and comfortable. There were plenty of towels stacked up in the bathroom cabinet, and even with two kids playing in the sand for two days, we didn't need to request more towels. Free breakfast in the morning (7am-10am) is nothing spectacular, but hey, it's free. Usual continental breakfast and more. Bagels, waffles, fruits, cold and hot cereals with coffee, tea, and juice. It was perfect for filling our stomachs until we fully woke up and headed to long-lined breakfast places later on.

I really liked the architecture and landscaping of the place. It was soothing and relaxing. The tall Crocosmia flowers were so beautiful and tranquil looking, we bought some locally on the way back home.

The Warren House Pub next door had some amazing food when we dropped in late night (serves full menu until 10pm). Very friendly staff there as well.

We will definitely come back to this place next year.

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
This beautifully wooded property at the quiet south end of Cannon Beach takes full advantage of the beauty of its' natural setting. The architecture and scale of the inn is very residential and cottage-like. Some guests have equated the feel of The Inn at Cannon Beach to a very high end summer camp for adults and families. The warm natural wood exteriors provide a rustic backdrop for the breathtaking native plants, perennials and long blooming annuals that color the property throughout much of the year. Fragrant garden paths with towering spruce trees meander between the various cabin-like buildings creating a sense of escape. The Inn’s central courtyard serves as a social gathering place for guests to come together in a beautiful woodland setting. Many find a sunlit bench the perfect spot to begin a new novel or to enjoy the wind in the trees. Our naturalized pond and it’s flowering borders is a center piece of the courtyard and attracts small wildlife and birds of many sorts. Voluptuous hanging flower baskets fill the walkways with fragrance and the occasional beat of hummingbird wings.Guest rooms are warm and inviting with all the comforts of home. The rooms are cozy and enjoyable on a stormy winter day with the fireplace ablaze and a good book. And when the sun is out, guests throw open the windows to enjoy the birdsong and salt sea air, taking their book outdoors. ... more   less
