“Friendly owners... great stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2012

This was my third stay at the Horseshoe Inn this year. The accomodations are simple but the quiet location, the quail running in the yard and the friendly service by the owners will keep me coming back.

Room Tip: If you only need one queen bed, room 27 had a great bed and a nice arm chair.

We love road trips, and when we pass through Burns, we always stay at The Horseshoe.
It's an older motel about a mile outside of town. It's all ground level, park in front of your room, and built in a big horseshoe semi-circle. The present owners are a young family who are owner/operators. A lot of work and thought have gone into updates.
Resulting in...every room is non-smoking, has cable tv, wi-fi, air conditioning, microwave, and refrigerator. You can even choose king or twin queen beds with the level of softness or firmness you prefer. And, it's clean!
Plus is quiet, and is very pleasant, being a mile out of Burns. We often see coveys of quail out our patio door.
They also have facilities for horses and trucks with horse trailers.

Yes, other motels spend HEAVILY on billboards touting swimming pools, breakfasts etc. But for $49 a night, you simply will do no better than The Horseshoe Inn.

In a town the size of Burns, there isn't a lot of choices, but for the money, you can't beat the Horseshoe Inn. Years ago, it was called the "Orbit" and it had run down into an "iffy" motel. The folks who bought it have done an outstanding job of remodeling. Don't go expecting the Waldorf Astoria, but if you need a clean room and a comfortable bed where the owner/operators care about your stay, I'd recommend this one!

This place was cute, clean, comfortable. Decor was simple, with a western feel. Everything was clean, worked well, and the bed was really comfortable. Bonus points for the refreigerator and microwave. Owners bent over backward for us, and were great about our dog staying there.
They obviously work hard to keep the place up. Lots of green grass around for your dog, or horse to romp. (they have a corral for traveling horses). Check them out if you are passing through Burns!

I used tripadvisor to find this place, and I was not disappointed either. It's clean, rooms are spacy and all have their own back deck, and the owners are very nice. Plus, for all you horselovers, it's shaped like a horseshoe (thus the name), and it's very western-themed (but not in an over-the-top fashion). For a very cheap rate, we got the works. And we'll definitely stay there again if we ended up staying in Burns in the future.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and seemed to have been updated recently. It was very quiet and the bed was comfortable. They accepted our small dog for a reasonable fee. Would definitly stay there again and would recommend it to a friend.

Highway 20 closed near the Inn, so it took some detours to reach this motel. Few others had made the effort. Got a nice clean quiet room, with a great King bed for bargain price. Location next to highway could be noisy if road open. Definitely recommend.
