“Terrific long weekend stay along the Chetco River”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 11, 2013

During our recent stay at the cozy riverfront Rock House, we had a great time hiking the property trails and along the river. My wife and I especially like overlooking the romantic vineyard and enjoying a warm fire at night. We'll definitely be returning to The Chetco River Inn again soon...

Room Tip: For the two of us, the cozy Rock House that overlooks the river and romantic vineyard is ideal. We...

We just spent a week at the Chetco River Inn with our baby and 2 year old, along with Grandparents, Aunts and Uncles and we ALL had a blast! There's a "beach" along the river directly in front of the lodge which provided hours of entertainment for the kids and the river is smooth enough that it was a great float for the little ones as well as the adults. We had so much fun having a space where we could just spend time together with bbq's, sitting on the porch, walking the grounds, or playing games after the kids went to bed. So fun. We can't wait to go back! Thanks!

We loved staying at the Chetco River Inn over the 4th of July- the amazing beach and swimming hole were perfect with kids. The grounds and Inn are lovely and private. This is a great place to have a family reunion or wedding.

My family and I just spent a phenomenal week at the Chetco River Inn. The place is beautiful, the hospitality was great, and it was awesome having access to a quiet stretch of the river essentially to ourselves. We plan to return in the future and would recommend it highly to anyone. Thanks!

I just returned from another great weekend at the Chetco River Inn. The river was the perfect temp for a float to cool off from the 90+ beautiful weather. Once I'm there, I never want to return home.

So glad you enjoyed your stay. Floating the gentle Chetco River this time of year is the #1 activity for guests. Happy you were able to return once again, and thank you for commenting.

My wife and I spent a relaxing few days recently staying along the Chetco River at The Chectco River Inn. We rented the Rockhouse cottage that overlooks the Inn's vineyard, and loved the cozy loft bedroom with its upstairs windows facing the river. We spent time walking along this very private stretch of the Chetco River (only saw one group float by the entire time), enjoying the Inn's seats that overlook the river, taking a beautiful 1/2 day hike up the nearby Chetco Gorgue, and preparing most of our meals in the cottege's kitchette (we did drive the 30 minutes into Brooking for one dinner, but the gorgeous drive along the river made it seem like half that time). I can't imaging a more perfect and romantic couples getaway spot. We hope to return again in the late fall for our anniversary.

Room Tip: If you're traveling as a couple or family of 4, be sure to ask for the Rockhouse cottage in the...

Thank you for your nice comments. It's looks like you were quite active during your stay. Besides the Chetco Gorge hike, another favorite of ours in the nearby Kalmiopsis Wilderness is the Vulcan Lake trail. We highly recommend this beautiful hike during your next visit.

The Chetco river inn is the perfect place to relax and get away from it all. The river is warm an inviting and crystal clear in the summer . The new owners Dan and Marci have done a great job giving the inn a cosy feel. The view from the porch is priceless, a true gem of a place.
