“Best Hiking Trails with many surprises!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 12, 2012

Hiking in the Multnomah Falls scenic area is one of the more interesting areas in Oregon to hike. It's especially great for photography as there are so many Areas to explore and scenes to capture. One of my favorite is a little half-cave just above the Bridge over the main falls... Have your hiking party stand inside and snap! If you take a LEFT at the top away from the falls just a little ways back is a lovely pool hidden from the main trail by only a few yards... what a surprise! after getting very sweaty from the hike up ( mid-Summer) a dip in the icy water was very refreshing! Driving along the scenic Highway reveals many more falls of all sizes, with great hikes near each of them... This is easily a weekend adventure, with camping nearby and a few hotels like at Cascade locks or 20 minutes away at Troutdale. ENJOY!!

“Spectacular”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 8, 2012

This is a place we always take out of town visitors. The falls are spectacular, and for the more hardy you can actually hike to the top. The parking lot has been known for break-ins so don't leave any valuables in plain site. I personally recommend that you do not actually place your valuables in your trunk in the parking lot where someone watching just saw you put your valuables in your trunk.. Do it at a stop before you get there. Not to scare you that your car will get broken into, but it has been known to happen. I think now they have security patrolling the parking lot a bit more. There is a small snack shop for icecream and snacks.

“Gorgeous area for hiking and scenic views”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

Take the time to spend the whole day in this park. Lots of great hikes with amazing views and waterfalls around almost every corner! The actual Multnomah falls can get quite busy with visitors so for a more quiet time, go for a hike on a quieter trail.

“Breathtaking”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

Multnomah Falls are amazing. The view is out of this world, and when you go make sure you include the 1mile hike that will bring you a bit higher in elevation and over the bridge by the falls. I have been once and definitely plan to go back.

“Multnomah Falls Waterfall Loop”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

This eight mile loop trail is one of the prettiest short hikes I've ever taken (ranking on par with Grand Canyon Bright Angel, Yosemite Nevada/Vernal Falls, Zion Angel's Rest, Tahoe Rim, etc.). It starts and ends at the Lodge and takes about 3 hours. Most strenuous part is the beginning section to the top of Multnomah Falls.
