The hotel is a converted old Catholic School and the 'conversions' of the classrooms was great! The room is identified by some character out of the history of the area, or one of the founders of the School. Wonderfully large room, very clean on all counts, large table to spread out a map for the sites. Bed supported my aching back quite well, and the hotel is very quiet.
The restaurant food was delicious, well prepared and plentiful. Service was a bit slow, BUT only due to the volume of customers being served. Wait staff courteous, young, but knowledgeable of what was being served and offered variations and recommendations.
There are several buildings on the property that offer a variety of amenities; most of which you can see on their webpage. For me, they have a Cigar Bar! As an occasional Cigar smoker, I was pleased to see that this separate building from the hotel proper was also a fully stocked bar. Outside they had a couple of large (safe) fire pits and as the chill set in, they lit them. We retreated to the bar, I had a cigar and of course a fine Jameson Whiskey, while my non-smoking wife enjoyed a scotch. Wonderful, younger crowd, great ambiance, and we will return next year to explore the beautiful countryside. It's located near downtown Bend, which in itself deserves some exploration as well. Look 'em up online, reserve and enjoy...!
