After the Nutcracker, we decided to meet with some other folks at the Bend Burger Company. It is conveniently located in downtown close to Drake Park. Ordering is done at the counter, and the food is then delivered by a server when it is ready. My wife and daughter both really enjoyed their grilled cheese sandwiches with tomato soup. I don't know if my wife was extra hungry or what, but she did say that it was the best tomato soup she had ever had. After looking at all the "gourmet" burger options, which I do not find very appetizing, the server told me that I could have a burger fixed to order. She also volunteered that substitutions could be made for the normally accompanying fries so I jumped at giving a whirl to their sauteed green beans. The burger was good, and the green beans, which included some bacon and were somewhat greasy, were also good. Anything with bacon has got to be good, right? All the sandwiches were priced around $10.
