A beautiful location can only remain that way if it is well taken care of. The Cultus Lake Resort operators have done a remarkable job over the years of maintaining the facility and atmosphere to offer a wonderful vacation experience.
We have been coming to Cultus for over 40 years and each trip becomes more special to our family and friends. The resort has only gotten better and the impact to the surroundings has been carefully managed.
Each lake resort offers different views and experiences and just like restaurants, there is one for everybody. I like Cultus for the quiet, rustic, family friendly and high quality experience year after year.

Room Tip: Take the time to get to know Dan, Sandy, Jennee and Seth, they are great people.

We had 2 cabins for the week of July 7 thru 14th. It was great !! I went on runs in the morning, followed by a ski on great water, followed by a breakfast at the lodge. if you have a better start to your day... tell me ! I think I had the blueberry pancake 3 times. And I'm only talking 1 pancake cause it's huge !
We had the rib feed on Friday night which was excellent. The weather was great and kicking back on the beach was cool cause it's for the cabin folks only. I had my boat there which was a no hassle deal. Plenty of room on the dock all week long.
This whole experience was so good that I reserved for next year !!

Anyone can take your money and give you a place to stay but at Cultus Lake Resort Dan, Sandie, Seth and Jennee all make you feel welcome. It truly is a warm and inviting family place. We were there with 20+ members of our family spanning 4 generations and there is something for everyone (including my Yellow Lab). We hiked to outer lakes, Boated, Skied, Swam every day and even caught a few fish at the outlying lakes. Had breakfast with my 2 year old granddaughter most mornings in the restaurant and dinner aroung a campfire with the entire clan every night. As good as it Gets.

Room Tip: Plan to eat at the restaurant some

We will be back for sure! The lake is gorgeous, the cabins are clean, lots to do and the staff are some of the nicest people around!! Very relaxing stay. The food at the resort is really good, too! We rented a jet ski and paddle boat, they were a lot of fun and again, super nice people working there.

The new owners at the resort have done a lot to really brighten up this lodge! In summertime it is a fun place to visit. All the beautiful flowers surrounding the lodge and on the deck overlooking the lake are stunning and a delight. Stop in to the restaurant for a bite to eat or some ice-cream Dinner at the restaurant is an experience not to be missed. Yes, this lodge is rustic as the other Trip Advisor Reviewers have reported. This lodge is comparable to the lodges at Elk Lake, Lava Lake, and Crane Prairie all interesting places to visit. But this one is our favorite! When camping in the area, we like to come have dinner or a drink at the lodge. We also enjoy the hike around the lake. We own horses, so this is a favorite horse trail into the High Cascades and Pacific Crest trails. The staff are super friendly. We've always enjoyed our servers and never had a problem with the employees at the cash register. It is definitely a dog friendly area. The food is good old fashioned country cooking, nothing too exciting. Friday night is ribs or roasted chicken, both were very good and the cost of dinner entrees were $15 with sides of none other than potato salad and baked beans. Burgers and Chicken strips cost around $10. Who can resist the local microbrew beer on tap.

Our new border collie Bodhi is a wonderful addition to our household - except that he really can't handle fireworks. (Hides behind the toilet!)

We booked a cabin over July 4th hoping that the forest service ban on fireworks would give us some respite. It was perfect. Not a single firecracker.

The cabin was basic - what you would expect for a rustic lodge. What we really appreciated was how "dog-friendly" the owners were. Many if not most of the other vacationers came with canine friends. Everyone was courteous - dogs were on-leash whenever areas were congested, but voice control was accepted during low usage times around the campground. Well behaved dogs were welcomed at the outside restaurant.

Please note that there is no wi-fi or TV - this is a rustic lodge in the forest. Also note that the dog-friendly comments only pertain to the lodge, not to the forest service. Always take a leash when you are off the lodge property.

We are already booked for July 4 2014!

Room Tip: Book early as the cabins are booked well in advance. Cabin 19 is at the edge of the lodge grounds a...

We have been vacationing for twelve years in the Cultus Lake cabins....it is by far our favorite family tradition. We join several groups of friends every year at the lake, and hope the tradition continues on...we began coming to Cultus when our children were still in diapers-the swimming area was perfect for small children, with gradual depth and clear clean water. Now, our boys still love the lake for much different reasons-rope swing, skiing, seadoos, campfires, girls.....pretty tough to beat a vacation spot that accomodates a growing and changing family. The resort owners feel a bit like family to us, and we hope nothing about the resort changes...CABIN #7 ROCKS.....
