We rafted down the Rogue River in early September 2008 with Ouzel Outfitters. The river was fantastic. Plenty of water. Water temp had just cooled a few degrees by this time but weather was still hot and we went for plenty of swims (mostly voluntarily). I had rafted before and wanted my wife and 3 boys (age 8,11 and 13) to experience the fun (and do it safely). We all had an absolute ball. This was the highlight of our trip (come from Australia) - (better even than a week at disneyworld). Choose your rafting company carefully. We chose Ouzel outfitters and they exceeded our expectations in every way. They had 5 guides for 15 paying guests (and the business owner rafted by and joined us for a night as well). The guides knew the river like the back of their hand and safety was always of the paramount importance. They have different rafts for different standards of experience and adventure. The food was awesome. The kids were looked after on and off the water. Thoroughly recommend the Rogue River and Ouzel Outfitters to anyone.
