“Wonderful Lara House Lodge”

Lara House Lodge

Jun 21, 2008

The experience of staying at Lara House Lodge was truly exceptional. Our only regret was that we could not stay longer but next time we will. This is a guesthouse where attention is paid to every aspect of detail. The furnishings in the guest and reception rooms is inspiring, comfartable and welcoming. But most of all our hostesses Amy and Ginger made us more than welcome with their inspired choice of wines at the evening reception and the gourmet breakfast made from the freshest of ingredients. They could not have been more helpful with information on where to visit in Bend and on finding speciality shops.
Compares more than favourably with any five star hotel.

We will be back

“Perfect weekend vacation”

Lara House Lodge

This restored 1910 Craftsman house was a beautiful place to stay. The location was wonderful for exploring/walking downtown Bend and the Deschutes River/Mirror Pond/Drake Park areas right in the neighborhood of the B/B. The inn-keepers added the special touch with their friendly and helpful personalities. It was a great place to interact with other guests and yet have privacy as well. And the breakfast/ wine social hour was superb!! We hightly recommend this delightful B/B.

The Lara House is situated in the heart of Bend, OR. It is impeccably restored. Amy our innkeeper was the Best. She was personnable, provided a gracous welcome to the house and far and away was an Excellent Chef.

We have nothing but fond memories of our stay at Lara House B and B and look forward to staying there again.

“Wonderful Lara House”

Lara House has become the Bed and Breakfast Inn by which we measure all others. That is primarily because of the inn keepers Ginger and Amy. They have great talents at making their guests feel at home and, of course, well fed! Breakfasts were delightful, delicious, and set us off on a day of exploring being well fed. Both Ginger and Amy are superb chefs.

The room in which we stayed was comfortable, king size bed, good chairs for reading and well appointed bath. At $269 per night we felt the value was good.
Above all were the great conversations we had with other guests beside the fireplace in the living room and around the breakfast table. Afternoon wine and cheese was filled with wonderful visits and the sharing of our life stories with each other.
The inn is located within easy walking distance of the center of town and many excellent restaurants. That made evening dinner time both an adventure and a delightful eating experience.
The river that flows through town and along side of a lovely park can be accessed very near the front door of the inn making the setting for this inn beautiful and restful.
We will continue to visit this Bed and Breakfast Inn on all of our journeys to Oregon and the wider reaches of the Northwest.

“Stand out Staff”

Lara House Lodge

May 26, 2008

What made our stay at Lara House special was Amy the innkeeper. Wonderful personality and always helpful, she strives to make your stay memorable. The house itself is in a quiet neighborhood right by Drake Park. Lara house is also just a block from the beautiful Deschutes River and a short stroll to downtown Bend's wonderful restaurants.
Speaking of food, Amy's breakfasts were all a gourmet feast. The houses decor is pretty and a good match for this area. We certainly wish we could have spent more time there. This is now a 'must stay' whenever we're anywhere near Bend.
