Lara House has become the Bed and Breakfast Inn by which we measure all others. That is primarily because of the inn keepers Ginger and Amy. They have great talents at making their guests feel at home and, of course, well fed! Breakfasts were delightful, delicious, and set us off on a day of exploring being well fed. Both Ginger and Amy are superb chefs.
The room in which we stayed was comfortable, king size bed, good chairs for reading and well appointed bath. At $269 per night we felt the value was good.
Above all were the great conversations we had with other guests beside the fireplace in the living room and around the breakfast table. Afternoon wine and cheese was filled with wonderful visits and the sharing of our life stories with each other.
The inn is located within easy walking distance of the center of town and many excellent restaurants. That made evening dinner time both an adventure and a delightful eating experience.
The river that flows through town and along side of a lovely park can be accessed very near the front door of the inn making the setting for this inn beautiful and restful.
We will continue to visit this Bed and Breakfast Inn on all of our journeys to Oregon and the wider reaches of the Northwest.
