“Older hotel, but well maintained.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 2, 2013

Spent one night and found the room clean and comfortable. After a long drive from Portland, we were welcomed at the desk with a couple bottles of cold water by friendly desk staff. Even though the hotel is very close to a major road (US 97), the room was quiet and we slept very well in our comfy king bed. I was surprised to see nice bath amenities (Bath & Body Works).

Stayed for a one night stop over. Judging on the decor the place seems a little dated but I found it to be clean and the staff to be very friendly. Breakfast was good with a wide selection to choose from. Rate was reasonable.

We recently spent one night at the Holiday Inn Express in Bend. Our room was clean, comfortable and quiet. It is pet friendly as our daughter and son-in-law were in an adjacent room with their dog. There was open space behind the motel to walk the dogs. This hotel was a little out of the way for activities downtown.

Stayed a couple of nights and were very pleased. The bottom floor rooms were quiet even facing the major highway nearby! Check in staff and room service folks were always pleasant to talk with. Breakfast as others have said was filling and had about everything you'd want fro a quick bite to eat before going out for the day. Nearby are eating and shopping areas so you really don't have to go into downtown Bend for any meal or items you may need to buy. Easy access to Route 97, 20 and downtown bypass 97. We'll be staying here when we visit again.

The room (102) was very clean and quiet. From check in to check out everything went wonderful. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The mattress was very comfortable - pillow top so you sink right in. This is a very friendly dog hotel with no weight limit for the dogs. Even though we stayed in a room that I am assuming was had previous "dogs" in the room, you could not tell that other dogs had been in there. The breakfast buffet had a good choice of options although my husband didn't like the imitation cheese in the eggs. Lots of fresh fruit, yogurt, bacon, biscuits and gravy, muffins, bread and an assortment of cereals. We will stay here again when in Bend!

When I made the reservation I made several special requests about the location of the room. The front desk accommodated all them, which I appreciated. We had a clean, comfortable, quiet room. The Wifi worked well. Breakfast was good. The motel is on the north end of Bend, so it's a short drive to downtown. But there was a very nice view of the high desert and Cascade Mountains out our third floor window. This motel was less expensive than some other places we looked at. My wife said the pool and hot tub were good.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing west (back of the motel) on the upper floor, for nice views - and away from an...

I stayed here for a week waiting to move into an apartment. This hotel is just perfect. Really. The front desk staff couldn't possibly be more helpful or pleasant, the breakfast buffet from 6 AM is quite extensive and very well done, the floors shine like mirrors, there is a guest washer/dryer so travelers can get their laundry done, the beds are simply heavenly. The very best hotel beds I've ever slept on and I've been to hundreds of hotels over the years. Rooms are very large, spotlessly clean, tastefully decorated, 42 inch flat screen, basic hotel cable package, coffee pot, fridge, microwave, pool, manicured grounds, daily newspapers at your door each morning. I cannot think of a better hotel experience. It's about $100 per day but so is every decent hotel in Bend. Even the bad places are in the $70's and $80's. If you are staying in Bend for the night or for longer, stay here. It's is just a wonderful hotel. Just about 7 minutes drive north of downtown Bend on Route 97.

Room Tip: There is elevators so upstairs isn't difficult. Rooms down main hallway on both floors have a lo...
