this was my first stay at a fairfield inn. I was impressed with the lobby and common spaces, it was bright and welcoming. the staff were friendly and knowledgeable about the area. the room was clean, particularly the bathroom which is important. it felt a little confining compared to other hotels of its class that i've stayed at, but comfortable nonetheless. i was disappointed in having issues with the wi-fi as well as wired internet. even though it was free, it didn't do me any good. obviously the most important gauge is how well one sleeps. being a light sleeper, makes me even a tougher critic. i requested a room at the end of the hall which always helps with less noise. the bed was comfortable with plenty of pillows which is always a plus. i would do prefer hotels with central heating and air. the window unit is just loud. my main complaint is with the curtains. why not have full curtains that close to prevent so much light from entering the room? to recap, the room is quite adequate but for a light sleeper like myself, a full night's sleep was tough to obtain.
