“My favorite band's hometown!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 21, 2009

I've been to Tulsa several times but it's always fun to see my favorite band, HANSON, in their hometown. The city is filled with museums, boutique shops with vintage items and is just a fun place to visit. Check out Ida Red's, a Cain's Ballroom Rock 'n Roll Boutique for old-school style candy and pop. Dwelling Spaces was another spot recommended by the band. Here visitors may purchase their own I *heart* Tulsa shirt. The architecture in downtown Tulsa is not to be missed. They have art deco designs, more modern buildings and even a church that might be considered baroque. Get a look at the Blue Dome, the Center of the Universe and the Golden Driller!

“Very beautiful!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 21, 2008

One of the best things about visiting Tulsa was visiting ORU and also Victory Christian Center across the street. The praying hands statue is amazing. It was a very nice, quiet walk around campus. It is a "prettier" area of Tulsa. We also went to the zoo and aquarium. This however was my favorite!

“Lots of food”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed June 26, 2003

Tulsa Oklahoma is a pretty place to visit. Lots of places to stay, and eat. I call Tulsa Buffet capitol of the world now. The lodgeing and eats were worth the money, not expensive at all for what you get. Only problem with Tulsa is all the attractions... Zoo, Aquiriam, museums...etc all close at 5:00 pm so by the time you get through eating you rush to stop at a stop light every block you end up getting there to late to see what you went for.

“Tulsa is OK”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 20, 2003

I live and was raised in Tulsa. The streets are easy to navigate-they are all alphabetical or numerical. There are two great malls to spend time in-Woodland Hills has a carousel, and several upscale and unique shops, and Promenade has a terrific movie theater and is relaxing to walk around in. Utica Square has a great Santa House at Christmas time, and Rhema Bible college always has a wonderful light show. Tulsa has two outstanding museums, the Philbrook and Gilcrease, is home to the University of Tulsa, Tulsa Community College, Spartan School of Aeronautics, OSU-Tulsa, Rhema Bible College, and Oral Roberts University. There is a church on almost every street, and if there isn't then there is most likely a park nearby. The zoo needs some updating, but we are getting there, and there are lakes for fishing and swimming, boating and camping within easy driving distance. There is great architecture everywhere, and the city is generally clean and nice to look at. There is also the river's pedestrian bridge, Bell's amusement park, Casa Bonita-this is a treat I have newly rediscovered with my kids!, penguin-siting all over town, Chuck E Cheese, Brookside, the downtown district, all of the fairs and "fests", and so much of it is easily affordable, if not free. I think I would love to visit a city like this if it weren't already home.
